Brisbane Trail Ultra 2022- 42for42 & Veteran's Trails Calling all Volunteers!!

Brisbane Trail Ultra® - Spartan Trail World Championship (STWC)

 Another year and the Brisbane Trail Ultra (BTU) Trail Runners will be travelling through the surrounds of Brisbane and the heart of river city again. As one of the premier events in Brisbane, it is an honour that the Team at BTU is asking for our involvement to highlight the 42for42, Veteran’s Trails and other Veterans’ organisations. The BTU event weekend from the 8^th to the 10^th of July. As there was so much positive feedback from last year from the competitors, the team from BTU are requesting to have our assistance to set up and maintain the last water point in the course. Due to the Wallabies playing we will be located at Milton Green where we have been allocated the final official water stand location for the course. After us, the runners have a further 8 km to go before reaching the kangaroo Point Cliff stairs which will lead them to the finish line up at Kangaroo Point Park. Some of these runners will have started at 1030 on the Friday night and would have already completed 152km by the time they have reached our water stand.

We will have the 42for42 alley, Veteran’s Trails water point and banners of other veterans’ organisations who want to be represented and volunteer to help us support these courageous individuals that have been pushing themselves to the absolute limits. For us, all we need to do is maintain this water point for 24 hours from the 9^th to the 10^th July. We need volunteers to welcome the runners through their last check point before the finish 8 km away at Kangaroo Point Park. Runners from the 100-mile (160km) race, the 110km race, the 60km race and the 30km race will all be coming though the checkpoint during this time.

We need volunteers to offer drinks to the runners, to offer smiles and huge amounts of encouragement. If you would like to help out, our set up commences at 1100am on Saturday we have four shifts of five hours that that commerce at 2pm and we are looking at a minimum of four people for each shift. Of course, the more the merrier!!! Especially at o’Dark hours!!!
